Playing the Games is a two week celebration packed full of cultural and sporting talent, ranging from the emerging to the world-famous.

This summer the Criterion Theatre celebrates sporting and cultural talent - from the emerging to the world-famous - with Playing The Games. Leading comedians, actors, playwrights and Olympians all take part including Stephen Fry, Eddie Izzard, Clive Owen, Alan Davies, Chris Holmes, Stephen Daldry, Haile Gebrselassie, Kriss Akabusi, Brian Blessed, Rick Edwards, Paper Cinema and world premieres of new sport-themed plays by Adam Brace and Serge Cartwright.
